Welcome to Skyview Estates

Skyview Estates, located between highway 11 and Blackstrap Lake, was designed for people who want to live in a park setting, have the luxuries of city like services and have the space for privacy, pets, outdoor hobbies, or the peace to enjoy Saskatchewan’s natural beauty.

Skyview Estates is being developed on private, formerly cultivated land, overlooking the lake. The subdivision is located on the valley slope and at its highest point is 23 meters above the lake, giving each lot a view of the lake for miles in each direction. Approximately 300 to 400 feet of crown land lie between the subdivision and the lake. This buffer zone surrounds the lake and provides a tremendous opportunity for walking paths, large natural park like grass areas and the preservation of the lakes shoreline. Residents of the subdivision have access to the lake through the crown land.

Similarily, on the west side of the subdivision, between Highway 11 and the subdivision is a buffer zone, for trees, and potential pasture. 10 acres of fast growing walker poplar trees are to be planted in this area in the spring of 2005.

There are a total of 21 lots in the subdivision; ranging in size from 1 to 1.6 acres, the smallest is 120 feet wide by approximately 350 feet long. While more expensive to develop in this fashion, the developers wanted to create a unique subdivision that provided sufficient space to avoid crowding of homes and enable people who enjoy the outdoors to be able to do so.

Horse enthusiasts will note that while lots over 1 acre are allowed to keep a horse, a boarding stable and indoor riding arena are being planned to accommodate those who may want someone to look after daily horse or pet care, while working or on holidays. In total approximately 25 acres around the subdivision is available for pasture.
